Our trip north on I-25 in New Mexico on
Saturday, April 14th, was a beautiful drive. We could see a lot of agricultural and cattle ranch land. Some in beautiful valleys back-set by the mountains, and some in the mountains.
We arrived at our new location for the next week, in the mountains east of Albuquerque. We hear that there is such a shortage of security people and such a high crime rate in Albuquerque, that we are thinking that we might not even go in there. They did say to have your vehicle empty! So Gary cleaned it out yesterday only to find out today that he could not even use a bucket at the car wash or here in the park because of water shortage. So we are crowded here in the motorhome, but it is time to wash up things that we carry in the car because of all of the dust for months.
Our new park is not much like the one that we left, but good enough for us and the price was right.
We also have many mountains around us reaching anywhere from 6500 feet to almost 12,000. Not sure how many we will travel while here.
It is cooler and must use heat at night. But the days are sunny, and sometimes windy and sometimes not, but warm.
We are seeing your snow in Ohio and in Minnesota. Ben was hoping that the fifteen inches they got in Minnesota would be plowed from the apartment lot while he is at work today, especially since they are forecasting more snow on Wednesday. Guess we had best drag our feet before going very far north!!!
