TRIP TO MINNEAPOLIS, MN and BOY SCOUT SPAGHETTI DINNER.

Met our son, Victor, at Bob Evans after church today for dinner.  I love it when I do not need to cook!! And Gary and I just love their Broccoli and Cheddar Soup!! We also ordered a container to go, but evidently the waitress forgot to put in the order, so will stop for more another time.
The week following our grandson's birthday was busy, busy driving to Minnesota pulling a small u-haul trailer of boxes for our son, Ben.

It was five days of driving, including the time spent loading with Victor's experienced help and unloading the trailer with Ben's help. We had to wake Ben from his night's sleep when we got there about noon.

We all three unloaded and while Ben went back to bed for his night, I unpacked the kitchen stuff and put it all away.  We spent that evening visiting and decided to hit the road the next day for the return trip since he had to sleep that day to be ready for his next night of work at Best Buy.  He sure seems to like his new job and the people that he is working with. We are very happy for him!!
The scenery was beautiful, with Ohio being the most colorful.

We drove Rt 30 going because of the trailer, to be able to keep our speed down. So most of the trip was farm country and a lot of wind power.

On our return trip we used the turnpike and had intended to stop near Chicago to see my oldest brother, but I developed a cold and we decided that passing that on in the Assisted Living complex where he lives would not be appreciated. So we are thinking that we might get the time to make another shorter trip there before the end of the year. Time will tell.
It took us a couple days to recover upon our return, but then managed to keep busy here and there in Ohio. Gary began teaching a one evening per week colored pencil art class, and to date has three in the class.  He said that the time just flew by so it was fun.
Then we finished by moving one more truck load from Ben's apartment into Victor's basement. Now it is up to Ben to finish getting the boxes. We did not have to do much except run the sweeper good and turn the keys in for him. Hope that he gets his security refunded real soon. And we are glad that it is all done.
Our grandson came and spent Friday evening and Saturday morning with us and Victor.  We all enjoy that!! Saturday evening was the Boy Scout spaghetti dinner for our grandson's scout troop.

Halloween trick or treat night probably helped that along.

So we went in there for dinner.  It was great to see so many friends all in one place. But only got a couple pictures, as usual. I took a carry-out box to Gary's sister for she did not feel well enough to go out.

We are so proud of our grandson's fine work for his Eagle Project and will show pictures of that at a later time.

We are looking forward to a week of warmer weather (dry) so that we can get a few things done outside for Victor. Gary will also have his art class again on Monday and my usual scrapbooking day with the girls on Friday. I also plan to meet up with a TOPS group so that I can get back to business? It will be the same time as Gary's class, so that will eliminate an extra trip to Salem.
