Our History

My photo
Ohio, United States
Having recently retired we are fulfilling our long time dream. We began our camping life with a tent in 1969 adjusting as each of our three sons arrived over the years and gradually progressed to a 32' Class A in 2007. Even after our sons became too busy with their own interests, we continued dreaming over the years. The Louisville, KY 2003 Great North American RV Rally and the book "Movin' On" convinced us that a motorhome after retirement was really for us! In 2007 we sold our home and disposed of most of our belongings and awaited the wife's retirement on February 1, 2008. We were out in our first motorhome ten times in our first summer in 2007, with our grandson joining us eight of those ten times. Since he must stay behind with his mom and dad to continue school, we told him he can join us on vacations (by car or plane) anywhere we are as we travel the US. Imagine the history lessons he could acquire! However, Mom and Dad don't look at it that way, especially the flying. Fortunately we don't miss work one bit!! We just miss the friends there. We have many hobbies to keep us busy when we decide to sit still for a day. Hope to see you on the road.

JANUARY in ARIZONA

2018 January at Mesa Regal in Arizona began as usual, warm weather and all!! Had some 80 degree days!!
We continued our hobby workshops as usual. Gary also continued his colored pencil drawing here in the motorhome.
The drawing of Tom Selleck progresses,
and is now finished.
Finished!

His wood carving at workshop is progressing also.
And Audrey's scrapbooking group is keeping busy as usual, some doing scrapbooking, and some making cards and decorating ornaments - - -
Carol, who had been missing quite a few weeks
after knee replacement is back with us and busy.

Phylis always doing books for great grandchildren- - -

- - - Unusual spelling of boy baby's name!

Susanne doing European travel pictures, as usual.

Pat, never too busy to smile for us!!

Paulette, another European traveler, as well.

Several are scrappers from the group who stayed in their northern home until after the holidays.  Some I remember on sight, but do not remember their names. The room is beginning to get crowded.

Our Cricut user! I helped her some,
more like blind leading the blind??

Lineah has been absent because of sickness since before the holidays. The girls called her today to bully her into coming down to visit, thinking that she needs to get out. Glad to have you back Lineah!!
I needed a turkey to complete a page and looked all over in the stores for outdated sale items from Thanksgiving, without success. I was about to give up when I found these candles in a Thrift Store. So used my phone to take pictures!!

Mission accomplished!!  I am also finally using my Cricut in the motorhome. Getting the hang of it but need to keep my eyes open for more cartridges at reasonable prices!!  Gary wants me to make a stencil for our names that he can paint on our wooden sign for outside. Also need an Ohio outline. One of these days I will get busy.

This pretty well summarizes our activities in January 2018.  I am quite late posting but will soon catch up to date!! Check back real soon.
