Our History

Ohio, United States
Having recently retired we are fulfilling our long time dream. We began our camping life with a tent in 1969 adjusting as each of our three sons arrived over the years and gradually progressed to a 32' Class A in 2007. Even after our sons became too busy with their own interests, we continued dreaming over the years. The Louisville, KY 2003 Great North American RV Rally and the book "Movin' On" convinced us that a motorhome after retirement was really for us! In 2007 we sold our home and disposed of most of our belongings and awaited the wife's retirement on February 1, 2008. We were out in our first motorhome ten times in our first summer in 2007, with our grandson joining us eight of those ten times. Since he must stay behind with his mom and dad to continue school, we told him he can join us on vacations (by car or plane) anywhere we are as we travel the US. Imagine the history lessons he could acquire! However, Mom and Dad don't look at it that way, especially the flying. Fortunately we don't miss work one bit!! We just miss the friends there. We have many hobbies to keep us busy when we decide to sit still for a day. Hope to see you on the road.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LARRY & BETTY !!

Friday evening we went to Niles to meet up with Audrey's cousin and wife.  We invited our son, Victor, to go along with us.  Plans were to go to Texas Roadhouse, but it was closed (they are to have a Grand Opening on November 4th).  So we ended up going around the corner to Panera Bread where we knew that we could sit and visit to our heart's content.

Larry, Betty, Audrey and Gary

We almost did not recognize Betty as she has done such a wonderful job of dieting for the last year!!  It makes me want to get serious.  Don't know if I would have the determination that she did, but she sure looks great!!
When they walked in the door we asked if they recognized their ring bearer.  I don't believe that they would have, but they said "just 38 years ago today".  What a coincidence!!  We did not realize it as we had not remembered the date, thus did not realize that it was their anniversary, shame on us!!

I had told you that Gary has been keeping busy with painting at Victor's house, so thought I would share some pictures of that.  They have two coats of the ceiling white on and two coats of the primer on the walls.  Now we are just waiting for the 40% off sale next weekend to get his colors.  Hopefully, the job woodwork and all will be finished before Thanksgiving.

We took a day off from painting and cookie baking and went to Mountaineer for a few hours.  It is always relaxing.
It looked like rain was coming on!!

Surprise!!  Just a few feet down the road made a difference!!

We went to Columbiana to visit Jim and Gretchen, high school friends, last week.  Enjoyed the visit very much and traded some books to read.  So we will probably see them again before we leave as I don't want to leave our Blog books behind.  Have many things to crowd into our days, but it will make them go faster.

Not much else going on so will not bore you any more.  Just wanted to give you an update.
Surgery is Wednesday and I am sure that the days between that and  Thanksgiving will speed by!!
Take care and God Bless.
