Our History

Ohio, United States
Having recently retired we are fulfilling our long time dream. We began our camping life with a tent in 1969 adjusting as each of our three sons arrived over the years and gradually progressed to a 32' Class A in 2007. Even after our sons became too busy with their own interests, we continued dreaming over the years. The Louisville, KY 2003 Great North American RV Rally and the book "Movin' On" convinced us that a motorhome after retirement was really for us! In 2007 we sold our home and disposed of most of our belongings and awaited the wife's retirement on February 1, 2008. We were out in our first motorhome ten times in our first summer in 2007, with our grandson joining us eight of those ten times. Since he must stay behind with his mom and dad to continue school, we told him he can join us on vacations (by car or plane) anywhere we are as we travel the US. Imagine the history lessons he could acquire! However, Mom and Dad don't look at it that way, especially the flying. Fortunately we don't miss work one bit!! We just miss the friends there. We have many hobbies to keep us busy when we decide to sit still for a day. Hope to see you on the road.

CHRISTMAS TIME 2021 !!!

Afternoon of  Tuesday, December 14th, the repair guys came to replace half of our MH windshield.  It had been hit with a stone from a passing truck on our trip south.  So we were glad to have it finally replaced after two months.
On Sunday, the 17th our park had a small Golf Cart Christmas Parade. So Gary and I took pictures when they passed our home.  It ended up being much smaller than they had anticipated, but fun.  As you can see they accepted two wheel vehicles as well!!
Captain Kenny and his wife, Lanette

Sorry to say, I did not know names
of all the participants.

Guess they didn't have to have wheels,
Huh, Jan??

Hi Bob, leader of the pack?

Oops, poor time for my camera to need
attention!!

Nope!  There is a leader before Bob!
The park then had an Ice Cream Social to follow!!
And that evening New Hope Bapt Church had it's Children's Christmas Pageant.  They always do very well!!
Teens and adults played the bells for
the Sunday morning services.  But the children
did very well with them at the children's pageant.

Music director, David,  always does
a very good job!!
The month of December has gone well for me with the weekly Wednesday Bingo night, except I need to find a couple more callers to make the rest of the season run smooth.  Gary and I have skipped a couple other Christmas activities as they sure do keep us busy here!!
Gary had a podiatrist appointment here in Florida, so that makes our schedule a little busier. Stay tuned in for the last Blog for our Christmas Season!  Have a very Merry Christmas!!
