Late in the day for me to begin, but since it is late in the year, I will get at it. I want to finish the year so that I can get my Blog Book ordered for the year 2021. These are the last events for the year for us as two of our pastors at church have tested positive for Covid. So since our plans for New Years Eve were planned with church people, we will cancel and spend the evening here in the motorhome in front of the TV. Our park has a dance planned in the Clubhouse, but since that is not our type of thing, we will forget about that also. We are wishing all of you, our friends and family, a Happy and Healthy New Year!!
A couple weeks back, December 15th, when Gary was out for lunch with the men of the park, he invited Robert who he rode with for lunch to take him to a church friend's ranch for a tour. The plan was for Gary to find out how to get to the Creek where the New Year's Eve event was being held for the church tonight. Robert was so impressed with the tour through part of the hundreds of acres that he hasn't stopped talking about it!! Wilbur sure showed them a great tour and Gary got some good pictures. I will share some of those pictures with you. This is the same Ranch that has the Cabin location where our Class party was held. So enjoy the pictures.
Gary said that Wilbur told him that they have slightly over 300 head of cattle, and about 1000 acres, and he told us last year that there were about 140 acres of watermelon. I know that they also have orange groves. Later I will tell you the story about the oranges that Gary brought home. They were from one of their wild orange trees, native to Florida. There are sons and grandsons also involved on this ranch. So very interesting. Wilbur and his wife, Susan, are in our Sunday School Class. And Gary did a drawing from a picture of Wilbur last year. I know that I showed that drawing in the Blog at that time. Gary did it because of the character of his face.

I can't describe any of these trees and areas since I did not hear Wilbur's naration. I sure enjoy the pictures though. Hope you do also. It was time for Wilbur to go back to work with the grandson who was working with him to repair fences. Gary recently did a drawing of the grandson's baby. I think that I showed you that drawing. It keeps Gary busy.
Gary has spent a couple days in Arcadia helping pack up stuff in the Desoto Art Galary in preparation for the Gallery's move. It keeps Gary out of trouble.
Then last evening, December 30th, we had a Yankee Gift Swap in the Park Clubhouse. It was fun as usual. We always enjoy it. We did not come home with much in the way of gifts, but Gary did give one of his drawings. That usually gets swapped several times before the evening ends. The swapping is the fun of the process!! The food items and chocolate were the most fought over!!
