OUR SUMMER LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES

After arriving at Northeast Ohio Retreat Center for our summer camping location, activities began at the center.  They have had a couple dinner fund raisers and the cooks outdid themselves with the barbecue chicken!! 

This is our location for this season in Ohio and we've reserved it for next year's summer season also!! We couldn't beat the price and the location was what we had asked for. We very seldom see neighbors on our entrance side of the motorhome but the family on the other side of us are very nice.  Children come and go all day long, but they are very well behaved!!

but we know that we can cook there!!

Our RVing friends, Bill and Jane have stopped to visit a couple times.  One of those times we took them to meet our friends here at the Center, Jim, Carol and Nancy to play cards for the evening. Had a great time!! 

We have gone in to our condo in Boardman to pick up Gary's art for a show in Salem and I also go to the condo to do laundry.  So much better than going to a laundromat. We can pretend that we are at home!!  Victor is there full time and looks after things for us.  He's a good home sitter!!

Everyone was in awe!!

I've been busy reading and organizing my scrapbooking materials.  And Gary built a new yard golf game for our daughter-in-law, Lynn.  We had given the first game that he had made years ago away to a pastor's little kids in Arizona.  We had carried it for years in the motor home and never used it so thought there was no point it carrying it with us any longer.  Surprise!!  Lynn did want it, so she can find a place to keep it!

Gary has been finding bass wood for carving. So he is very happy!!

He does a lot of drawing as well.  He was in a little show at the Historical Society Museum in Salem, which turned out well.  Now time to store the drawings away back in the condo.  

We have done some of our usual yard sales,  which is always fun.  A city wide one in Sebring, Ohio and another community one the next day. We did find a few things in these rows of piles, some needed and some just useable.  I found old butter bowls like we used to use for everyday cereal bowls when our boys were kids.  Had to have those for memory sake!!  Gary also got a nice tennis racket bag that will work for Lynn to keep the yard golf game in!!  

We are looking forward to one on Rt. 7 going from north side of Youngstown to Lake Erie come first weekend of September.  It makes us realize just how fast our summer is going!!

Gary is going to help a few friends from our S.S. group this afternoon who are planning to help a lady classmate move.  Hope the rain holds off for that.
