EPCOT at DISNEY WORLD

Thursday, February 25th,
Out at 8 am and at it again! We are so lucky to have the bus stop so close to home!
It is sunny and promising warmer temps, so off to EPCOT for the day.

Our first stop was Space Ship Earth -

Race car driver??

The grounds were beautiful - this is where we saw all of the characters sculpted from plants, so many that I did a separate Blog just for those.

This is also where the different countries have buildings, shops, acts, and films telling of their countries. There is no way I can remember all, to tell of each one. We did a lot of walking from one to another, especially since they did not open until 11 am. Then we had to back track to see the ones that we were most interested in, such as; Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Japan, China, France, Morroco, U.S, Mexico, South Africa. Enjoy!!

 

The a Capella chorus in the USA display was awesome!

Scenery from some of the films was awesome! Makes me want to go there, except to travel foreign countries would not be my comfort level in this day and age.

We are now headed back to our starting point??

After eight hours we sure were ready to call it a day!! Hope that you have enjoyed the pictures as much as we did. We never thought we would survive so much walking in four days time, but we did!! I would love to go back and see so much that we missed. There is no way you can see it all in one visit. But with the cost what it is, I doubt that we will do it again.
Friday, February 26th we left Fort Wilderness Park at 7 am. 
We had to stop at a garage in Bartow, FL to have the motorhome checked out because we were having a problem with the air conditioner that you run while traveling. Gary wanted to be there at 8 am so that they could take a look and maybe get part numbers, so that we could move on to Wauchala FL until they could schedule an appointment to do the work. It did not work out that way though.

The man at the garage did not recommend driving it that much!! So we had to locate a park close by their garage. We finally located at Good Life RV Resort just down Rt 60 from their garage at Bartow. This is the park where Diane and Bob Hergenroder lived during the winter until he passed away.It is a very nice park. And of course, my first job was to catch up on laundry!   

It took the garage a good part of Friday just to get the doghouse off so that they could get to the parts because some yokel glued down the fiberglass doghouse cap, the carpet and screwed it also!!  Gr-r-r!!

While they did that we got our reservations changed and went to Walmart for a couple things and found a motel where we could set up home for a few days (depending on how long they need the MH). Then we moved into Good Life and spent the weekend. Monday we pulled out and took the MH back to the garage and then took off in the car. We just puttered around going to different stores (forgot I needed a hair cut or would have done that also). We looked for thrift shops but did not find any. That is a good pastime for us!

Tuesday (tomorrow) Gary will go to Wauchula in the car to teach colored pencil class for two hours at the Escapee RV Park that we had hoped to stay in. It is the park that we are on a waiting list to buy into and we did not want to make a bad impression by cancelling. Especially since they had twenty signed up for that class. So will go down each Tuesday for the month. I probably will tag along and maybe I can meet up with my niece and her children and grand children.

So in spite of the messy Jello changing plans (as all plans are made in Jello), we will find plenty new things to do.

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS and DINNER THEATRE at DISNEY WORLD

Wednesday, February 24th
Off by bus at 8 am, going to Hollywood Studios in spite of the rain! We can't pay these kind of prices without taking it all in!
The rain was not too bad at first so we walked the streets at first. Then as the rain got harder, we took in more shows.

From the old movie clips on to a Trolley Car to see many other movie classics just an arm length away -

On to Star Wars Launch Bay, The Path of the Jedi, Indiana Jones "Epic Stunt", Star Tours -

By now the rain was drying off making it nicer to walk around checking out the movie characters -

We then decided to end the day with a ride around the park on the monorail to check out all of the resort areas -

Now it is time to go home by bus (had to walk forever to go to our bus). Need a rest and to dry out to go to our dinner reservations for Hoop Dee Doo Revue not far from our RV at the Marina -

Dinner was family style, but we sure did not have a family! We were the only two at our table at the corner near the stage. I think our table was an after thought, probably since we had just made the reservations the day before. Oh well, the play was funny and enjoyable.

 They even had audience participation!

Another day comes to an end, and were we ever exhausted!! It was amazing that our feet were enduring all of the walking. My Ohio doctor says that I need to be exercising. I wonder if he would be okay with me doing it all in three days??
But tomorrow, Thursday, should be the longest day yet!!
