WINTER IN WAUCHULA, FLORIDA in our Motorhome!

 January 26, 2023, Thursday is a day at home this week finally.  We have been out every day to one thing or another, Bank, Doctor, TOPS, Art League, Laundry, activities at our Clubhouse including dinner and dance, with some looking at used travel trailers in between.  So you can see our busyness!!  I am sure that we can find plenty to do here at home today.  I should be out riding my bike, but have not taken the time for that yet.   

Tennessee friends from here in the park stopped by with their dog, Jake.  While visiting they mentioned that it was Sandy's birthday so Gary surprised her with a drawing that he had done of their dog. We had a great catch up visit.

Another day we spent time buying a three wheeler bike that our friend, Jan, had acquired for the park's yard sale shed.  When she finds something that she knows someone has a desire for, she offers it.  Of course since I have never been a bicycle rider, she offered me the three wheeler.  I've not ridden it as much as I should be, but I spent two weeks at home with a bad cold!!  I'm on the mend now!!

Gary also attends a coffee klatch here in the Clubhouse every morning and gets to experience many new things with the guys in that group.  One morning one of the guys had to show his drone.  It was new to Gary and was greatly enjoyed!!

Next on our agenda was Christmas dinner where we enjoyed dining next to Ginny and Norm.  I think that I showed this picture in the last Blog, but the picture was very dark.  I've finally taken time to do some adjustments to pictures in Picasa.  So decided to reshow this one!

This week is our annual Cracker Capers celebration with our Spaghetti dinner and dance followed in the afternoon with stories that members shared of something in their life.  "I've got a Story".  That was followed by our Spaghetti dinner where we sat next to Captain Kenny and his wife.

For a spaghetti dinner it sure was well attended!!  There was a dance after, but we did not stay.  Our day had been quite busy so we were ready to go home.  This day included a stop in Sebring, FL to check out a couple used travel trailers.  Since we are not traveling across the country any more, we have decided to rid ourselves of the motor home to eliminate the extra expense of maintaining it.  Where a travel trailer could be anchored down and left here year around.  We are not permitted to leave a motorhome here year around.  So only time will tell if we can locate what we want.  We have seen a couple trailers where we liked the floor plan,  but the business deal was not a comfortable situation.  Only time will tell!!
